Donald W. Romhilt, MD
Dr. Donald W. Romhilt has served on the faculty of the Medical College of Virginia of Virginia Commonwealth University for almost 30 years. A native of New Jersey, Dr. Romhilt received his undergraduate degree and his MD from Duke University. He completed his internal medicine training at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and did his cardiology fellowship training at both Duke University Medical Center and University of Cincinnati Medical Center. In 1977, he joined the MCV Campus faculty as Professor of Medicine.
During his career, Dr. Romhillt has secured research grants totaling more than $2 million through both federal and private industry funding. He has authored or co-authored more than 100 articles and abstracts that have been published in the most respected national and international scientific journals. In addition, he has served on the editorial review boards of Circulation, Annals of Internal Medicine, Chest, Heart and Lung, American Journal of Cardiology and Archives of Internal Medicine.
